In short: this website doesn't collect any of your personal details. If you book with me, I only keep what I need to look after your appointment and keep my business accounts. I never sell your details, and I don't send marketing emails or texts.
Who I am
Laura Jayne Hair is the trading name of Laura Davies, a self-employed hairdresser working from Hair Shack, 14A Church St, Bishops Lydeard, Taunton, TA4 3AT. I'm responsible for any personal information you share with me.

This website
- There are no forms, no accounts and nothing to sign up to.
- I don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
- The site is hosted by Netlify. Like all web hosts, their servers briefly record basic technical details, such as your internet address, to deliver the page and keep it secure.
- The lettering comes from Google Fonts and the map from OpenStreetMap. To show these, your browser connects to their servers, which can see your internet address.
- If you tap to message me on WhatsApp or Facebook, or to call, text or email, you leave this site and that app's own privacy policy applies.
When you book with me
When you get in touch or book an appointment, I may keep:
- your name and how to contact you, such as your phone number or email
- our messages about your booking
- your appointment details, the services you have and what you paid
I use this to arrange and carry out your appointment, and to keep the business records the law requires me to keep. I don't use it for marketing. News and offers only go on my Facebook page.
Where it's kept
- Messages stay in the app you used to contact me, such as WhatsApp, Messenger, text or email.
- My appointment and accounts records are kept in a secure, password protected system hosted in the UK.
- Card payments are handled by SumUp. I never see or keep your full card details.
Who I share it with
Only my accountant, and HMRC if they ask, for tax purposes. I never sell or pass on your details to anyone else.
How long I keep it
I keep booking details only for as long as I need them. Payment records are kept for as long as tax rules require, then securely deleted.
Your rights
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I don't need to keep it for my accounts. Just message or email me.
